Timeline of Selected BCM Exhibitions until 2010
Four items of Great artistic value
The items on display were two luxurious Gospels with precious covers, a communion chalice and a paten with its asterisk; all silver gilded with symbolic ornament related to the Passion and the Divine Liturgy. Their high quality and value are signalled by the presence of the double-headed eagle and the multiple stamps by the imperial workshops of Russia.
The units of the exhibition
The exhibition occupied two halls. In the first the visitor could see rich archival material and many visual aids (texts and photographs) with information about the scope of the exhibition, the exhibits themselves, the Livorno Community, the Church of the Holy Trinity and the historical and cultural environment of the 18th c. In the second hall, the imperial gifts were on display in a luxurious showcase.
