The Museum’s Collection of Paintings contains ca. 110 mainly religious paintings, icons that follow the iconographic and stylistic patterns of Byzantium or of the West, and depictions of the pilgrimage shrines of the Holy Land (18th to 19th century).  The works have been painted on canvas, mainly in oil or tempera.
